2019 Circuit News: QS returns to Panama, Pantín climbs to 10.000 points, Senegal receives a 1500 and more

In addition, the South American junior tour returns to Mar del Plata, adds a stage in Iquique and holds several tournaments in Brazil. New 6000m stages in Itamambuca and Sri Lanka are some of the other tentative events on the calendar.

The return of the QS to Panama, an impressive number of stages of the pro junior tour in South America, the debut of Senegal on the tour, the increase in points awarded in the women's Pantín Classic from 6000 to 10.000 are some of the main novelties that can be seen in the 2019 calendar of the QS and junior tours that were published this week on the WSL website.

The Panamanian stage is scheduled to take place between October 5 and 8, with the beach yet to be determined. It would be a men's and women's tournament of 1500 points.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that the QS tour will debut on the waves of Surfers Paradise in Senegal with a 1500 that is tentatively scheduled to take place between January 23 and 27.

For the women's QS tour, the main novelty is that the event in Pantín, Galicia, will now be a 10.000 event and will become, together with the US Open (which as had been announced will no longer be a CT), one of the only two tournaments with this level of awards.

South America with more points in the QS and more youth events
If the current schedule is confirmed, the WSL South America will go from having one youth stage for men and two for women to seven in places such as Rio de Janeiro, Mar del Plata, Sao Paulo, Bahia, Florianopolis, San Francisco del Sur and Iquique, making the qualifiers for the World Cup determined after a very attractive schedule.

On the other hand, a tournament in Itamambuca, Ubatuba, São Paulo at level 6.000 scheduled to take place between June 11 and 16 would be returning to Brazil a stage of that level after three.

The other dream tour: Sri Lanka, plus Indonesia and Fernando de Noronha
The tour is looking to return to Fernando de Noronha, Brazil, between February 19-24 with a QS 3000 that still appears tentative.

Then, after nine years, QS returns to Sri Lanka with a QS 6000 to be held on the perfect rights of Arugam Bay between 7 and 13 October.

The stages in Indonesia, which had a boom this year, are adding stages, all of 1000m in Lombok, West Java, Pacitan, Rote and Kuta.
