The Lobos Por Siempre, a big wave invitational event that has the months of April and May as its waiting period for the legendary Punta de Lobos to break, announced a strong group of invited surfers.

The list includes Kelly Slater, the legendary wave riders Ramón Navarro, Diego Medina and Cristian Merello and contains young local talents such as Alejandro Fuenzalida and foreigners such as Russell Bierke.

Also passing through Guille Satt, Gabriel Villarán, Marcial Monreal, Tom Carroll and Natxo González, just to mention a few important names.

Punta de Lobos had its first day of big wave surfing yesterday since the waiting period began and there were several renowned surfers taking down big waves: Ramón Navarro, Patricio Mekis, Greg Long, Aritz Aranburu, Diego Medina, Pancho Veliz and Cristian Merello:
