Man drowns in wave pool in Waco, Texas

This is the second death related to the establishment in less than a year.

A man died by drowning in the well-known wave pool at BSR Cable Park in Waco, Texas, on the night of July 4, Several American media reported yesterday.

Christopher Hayes, 42, was found unconscious but still breathing and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died.

A party, commemorating American Independence Day, was taking place that evening on the beach of the facility.

There is no information as to whether he was a surfer or not.

There is no statement on the establishment's website or social media regarding this. The park appears to be operating normally.

Last year the wave pool and the entire facility were closed because one of its visitors, surfer Fabrizio Stabile, died from a rare brain-eating amoeba.
