The second edition of the Corona Longboard Festival will take place between February 23 and 26 at Bikini Beach in Manantiales, the organization announced in a poster posted on social media.

This will be the second stage of the Uruguayan Longboard circuit that will begin this Monday in Punta del Diablo.

This year's edition honors the legendary Uruguayan surfer, pioneer of the sport in the country, Fermín Lorenti, who passed away on October 17.

If the format of last year is repeated, the open men's, open women's and longboard masters categories will be contested.

Last year's tournament crowned Julián Schweizer in a hard-fought final which left Nacho Pignataro in second place. Inés Beisso won in the ladies category and Antonio Pita in the masters category.

The event had the most participants in the history of Uruguayan longboarding.
