A perfect workers' day in Uruguay
With Santi Medeiro, Tiago Kerber and Tomás Materi. A new chronicle of a storm presented by Maui and Sons

The stars aligned at this isolated Uruguayan beach break on exactly the same day that International Workers' Day was celebrated. Santiago Medeiro, Tiago Kerber and Argentine snowboarder and surfer Tomás Materi, accompanied by a good team of friends and photographers, spent a good part of the morning searching and finally found it.
This is how the author of the snapshots, Juan Manuel Real, described the day: “The forecast was one of the things that had been talked about in the last few days, it was known that there were going to be waves. I met a friend who was really excited, planning where to surf, I suggested we go to La Pedrera, to Tiago's house that had just been a mess that morning.
Without thinking much, we set off on the route and waited for the waves in Rocha, to wake up there and begin the search at dawn.
In winter mode, with a little fire lit and a tremendous meeting, we rested and got up at night, had breakfast and spent most of the morning looking for the wave because it dawned unsettled. And around 9:30-10:00 the sea began to settle, we found the right peak and these were the photos that came out of the session.
