A tubular exaggeration with José María Cabrera in the Canary Islands
In Viento Sur, the canary shows what it is like to live a cylindrical life
Tubing is easier in some places on the planet than in others. Tubing in Lanzarote is not easy... It's like doing it at Pipe, El Gringo, and a select group of other places that have seen people die doing it.
Getting this amount and this calibre of pipes into the Canary Islands only speaks of talent, desire and courage.
"The South Wind in Lanzarote brings us good tubes to the island, but this time it brought something more to Jose María Cabrera. The title of this surf video honours Jose's second son, called Hegoi. A life dedicated to surfing and family. A surfer who doesn't give up, who demands as much from the surfing students who train with him, as from himself, to keep moving forward, to show that you never stop learning and improving," is how its authors present the video.
