Gabriel Villarán is proving that there are thousands of spots to discover in Peru and instead of imagining them, he went looking for them, finding them and surfing them.

In this first episode, somewhere in the north of Lima, in Huarmey, in the Ancash region, he found a couple of heavy slabs along with Cristobal de Col and Luis Gómes de la Torre.

So heavy that one of them ended up injuring the Peruvian big rider in one leg.

“All my life I have traveled surfing the most demanding and spectacular waves in the world. Now, I want to explore Peru, because I want to find world-class waves that have never been surfed before,” says Gabriel to introduce the video series directed by renowned filmmaker Jose Madalengoitia of Humano Films.

As stated in the press release sent by Red Bull, “Huarmey is a must for every surfer who travels to the world-renowned north of Peru, but ironically it goes unnoticed and is not considered a surfing destination: one of the reasons to start the search in that location.”
