Adam “Biff” D'Esposito has passed away

After several days of searching and anticipation, the well-known Californian tube rider was found dead in Baja California, Mexico

Well-known California surfer Adam “Biff” D'Esposito was found dead in Baja California, Mexico yesterday Tuesday after being reported missing more than a week ago. The various posters circulating on social media indicate that he was last seen on September 8, 2018.

According to several American media reports, the cause of his death is unknown, but it is known that he had recently been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. A friend was the last person to see him walking barefoot, shirtless and scared in Rosarito.

The surfer's sister, Brianna,  It was he who broke the news on social media: “It is with great sadness and the deepest grief that we confirm the passing of my brother, Adam Francis Kennedy D'Esposito, also known as “Biff”. The details of his death are still being investigated, we ask for your respect during this confusing time. Our hearts are heavy as we come to terms with the fact that he is no longer with us.”. He was a very charismatic person with a big heart and a deep love for surfing. He loved his young daughter and enjoyed spending a lot of time with her these past few months.. The impact he had on so many people was incredibly evident to our family through the support  that was given to us during these stressful and worrying days. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We will notify you of the wakes and the gatherings to honor my brother's life."

D'Esposito was a goofy footer known for his skill and courage in the tubes, in Tahiti and Hawaii, as shown in various videos and photos, he was a standout. He was 39 years old and the father of a little girl.
