Adur Amatriain and Daniella Rosas made it to the WSL Junior World Championships

The format was changed, equal with 24 and 24 per gender; 14 wildcards were added to the 10 regional qualifiers


The Basque Adur Amatriain and the Peruvian Daniella Rosas have been invited to the WSL Junior World Championships to be held in Seaside Reef from January 9 to 15, the organization announced in a statement yesterday.

They join the Peruvian Sol Aguirre, the Basques Janire Gonzalez Etxebarri, Bitor Garitaonandia, the Mexican Alan Cleland and the Costa Rican Rubiana Brownell.

A change in format was also announced, with the event now being equal with 24 men and 24 women (previously 18 women competed).

In addition, the field of wildcards has been expanded: In addition to the 14 qualifiers per region, 10 wildcards per gender will be added.
