Advanced negotiations are underway to hold the 2026 Pan American Surfing Championship for the second time in three years at Playa Venao, Panama, PASA President Karín Sierralta told DUKE.

The event is being planned to take place at the end of April and the beginning of May, once the South American Youth Games of Odesur, which this year will take place in Panama with Playa Venao as the venue, have concluded.

It will be the third Pan American Games in four years held in Panama and the fourth in four held in Central America: Venao 23, Catalina 24, Guatemala 26 and now, if confirmed, Venao 26.

Details still need to be finalized, but the aforementioned authority stated that negotiations are progressing well.
