Ahead of the finals, Italo Ferreira tested 16 boards in seven days
This is how the Brazilian evaluated his quiver for the title definition
Ahead of the WSL Finals, world champion Italo Ferreira tested 16 boards in seven days, he himself reported on his social networks.
“Small waves in California, but I managed to use almost all my equipment and tested 16 boards in seven days. May God bless and protect us,” he posted on Instagram, accompanying it with a video showing him breaking.
California, one of the world's board-making capitals, is a great place for all surfers to gear up. In the case of Italo, his shaper, Timmy Patterson, is located in San Clemente, right near Lower Trestles.
Ferreira finished second in the rankings and will wait to see what happens with Filipe Toledo, Conner Coffin and Morgan Cibilic to see who he faces in the semi-finals of the finals that are in the waiting period.
His compatriot, Gabriel Medina, awaits him in the grand final.
