Mexicans Alan Cleland and Marco Mignot took home a couple of souvenirs yesterday at Teahupoo with a pair of waves with different but equally impressive characteristics.
Marco called his one of the best of his life: "Today I enjoyed one of the best waves of my life at Teahupo'o. It was incredible to see everyone push their limits; it inspires me to do more. Thanks to Jeremy Flores and all the locals who have been giving me advice and keeping us safe. Tomorrow the competition starts and the waves look good," Marco wrote about this wave:
Meanwhile, Alan put on a spectacular performance with his fins, losing grip for a while and then functionally hooking in to stay positioned.
