Peruvians Alonso Correa, Sol Aguirre and Sebastián Cárdenas and Panamanian Tao Rodríguez were crowned champions of the third stage of the ALAS 2021 circuit, at the Gordo Barreda Cup, which has just concluded in Punta Roquitas, Miraflores, Lima.
Correa, who had placed second behind Lucca Mesinas in the last event in Punta Rocas, went all out in the final at Punta Roquitas and started quickly with an 8,5 thanks to two aerials that he then backed up with a 9,33 received thanks to another good aerial and a combo of maneuvers.
Cristobal de Col found a good break in the final of the series and placed second, displacing Lucca Mesinas who pushed Correa but fell on an important maneuver on his best wave in the decision. The leader of the ranking, Miguel Tudela, placed fourth.
On the women's side, a very tight final took place, separating no more than two points between first and fourth place. A left hand in which she made several backside attacks gave the difference to Sol Aguirre who won the championship. Daniella Rosas, Analí Gómez and Vania Torres followed her on the podium.
In the junior category, the only foreign result was recorded, with Tao Rodríguez from Panama winning thanks to a very clean line and an explosive attack. He left Noel de la Torre in second place, Mariano Maugere in third place and Juan Diego Ríos in fourth place.
The surprise of the event was in longboarding with Sebastián Cárdenas winning, leaving world champion Piccolo Clemente in second place. William Saldaña came third and María Fernanda Reyes fourth.
The Latin tour will end from December 2 to 5 in Punta Roca, El Salvador.
