According to DUKE's calculations, by making it to round 6 of the main event, Peruvian Alonso Correa has just guaranteed himself a spot in Paris 2024. There is no way he will not be among the six eligible players that this tournament offers.
Correa advanced alongside Frenchman Marco Mignot and thus guaranteed himself a spot in the top 10. Since there are four surfers among those already qualified for the top 10 who are not eligible, there is no way Alonso would not be a top 6 eligible.
This is especially true because there are three French players, one of whom has qualified and the other two will fight for their place amongst themselves.
The top 10 already has: Gabriel Medina, Ethan Ewing, Kauli Vaast (all ineligible), Joan Duru and Marco Mignot who are fighting amongst themselves and Alonso Correa who is the first man with a name and surname who can be reported to have qualified.
