Alonso Correa stayed in the third round in Sydney and achieved his best result of the year

Among the ladies, the best were Ariane Ochoa and Nadia Erostarbe who reached round 2; the challengers now go to Ballito

Peruvian Alonso Correa was unable to beat Alex Ribeiro and Imaikalani Devault in his round of 24 heat at the Sydney Pro and said goodbye to the event with his best result so far this year, a 17th.

This result adds to his loss in Round 1 at the Gold Coast, a 73 that will surely become a discard since out of the eight stages of the challengers, there are five. With this, Correa now has 1900 + 250 points, totaling 2150.

In his first heats, Correa was able to connect powerful moves in the pocket of the small waves at Manly to advance with solidity. In his round 3 heat he repeated but Devault and Ribeiro outperformed him, this was the detail of his heat.

Among the other Spanish-speaking surfers, this was once again the best result. On the Gold Coast it was Adur who made it to round 3.

Among the ladies, the best were the Basques Ariane Ochoa and Nadia Erostarbe who lost in round 2, as did the Argentine Santiago Muñiz.
