Alonso Correa was vice-president in the 5000 in Morocco and achieved the best result of his career in the QS

This is one of the best positions in the history of Peru on this circuit that put it squarely in the top 5.

Peruvian Alonso Correa has just achieved the best result of his career in the QS after placing second in the QS 5.000 Pro Taghazout Bay that took place on the perfect rights of Anchor Point, Morocco.

The 4000 points he received catapulted him to fourth position in the ranking and surpassed his previous best historical result, the 3700 obtained in the QS 10.000 in Ericeira in 2018, also on a right pointbreak.

The powerful and radical backside attack was once again the key to scoring good points throughout the championship.

And his scores were excellent even in the grand final, where he scored 16 points, but was surpassed by the almost perfect 19 of the American Nat Young.

At the event the Peruvian competed in seven series  and in none of them did he go below 12,93 points, mostly making sums of 14 and 15 and reaching his apex in the semis, where he added 18 points to beat the CT member, Frederico Morais.

The 4000 points he received put him in fourth place in the ranking. Third place went to his compatriot Lucca Mesinas, who made the quarter-finals in China and placed ninth in this stage of Morocco.

Another who had a reasonable result in the event was the Basque Ruben Vitoria who finished 17th and gained 1000 points in the ranking.
