Alonso, Lucca, Sofia and Melanie will define the Peruvian Surf Web Series
The aforementioned surfers made it to the grand final of the seventh online world surfing tour

Lucca Mesinas' unfailing backside attack combined with Alonso Correa's ability on the north tubes, Sofía Mulanovich's fluidity on Caballeros' right-handers and Melanie Giunta's powerful backside at Punta Hermosa made these four become the first Peruvian finalists in the history of the Surf Web Series.
Mesinas beat Tomás Tudela (who had a good tube), Correa did the same with a Cristobal de Col who maneuvered hard in Pacasmayo but it was not enough. In the women's category, the most contested series was between Mulanovich who narrowly beat the young Kalea Gervasi; meanwhile, Melanie Giunta beat another youngster, Arena Rodriguez.
Now the grand finals have been set and they promise:
Lucca Messinas versus Alonso Correa
Sofia Mulanovich versus Melanie Giunta
It will be interesting to see what Messinas does, as he has been relying on backside manoeuvres, his strong point, to win and it has been working out well for him. The same can be said of Alonso Correa, but with the tubes.
Will either of them do Thiago Camarao's strategy in the Brazilian edition of combining tube hits with strong and also modern maneuvers?
Mulanovich's strong point, her backside, has not yet been shown in all its splendor. Will the world champion save her best weapon for the grand final? Giunta looks very solid with those clean and powerful combinations.
