Alonso made the podium at the Fortaleza QS
By finishing third, he entered the regional top 5 and therefore qualified for the Challengers.

Peruvian Alonso Correa managed to place third in the competitive QS 2000 that took place in Praia do Futuro, Fortaleza, Ceará, this weekend and with this result he managed to catapult himself to fifth place in the ranking, within the qualifying zone for the challengers.
Correa started his run in the event in round 3, out of 32 surfers, he passed in second place, then in first in round 16 and in the quarterfinals he beat Samuel Joca.
In the semis he faced an inspired Cauá Costa who beat him by 10,33 to 7,5.
The result yielded 1220, which took him from eighth to fifth, well inside the seven that qualify for the CS.
The race for qualification ends in the first quarter of 2026.
The event was won by local Michel Roque and Juliana Santos.
