Peruvian Analí Gómez has been crowned Latin American surfing champion of the ALAS tour, after she and all the other contenders for the women's title lost. None of the six competitors still alive can catch her, according to DUKE's calculations.

By making it to round 2 of the event and finishing third in her heat, Gomez secured 4578. Paloma Santos, the only competitor I still had a chance of catching her if she placed second in the event, was eliminated in the following heat.

This gives Analí Gómez a new title, which adds a new continental cup.
