The impressive perfection that Punta Roca showed yesterday Thursday for the men's quarterfinals of the Surf City El Salvador Pro, could be appreciated in many ways; through the webcast, from the stands, through stories from friends... This is another way of doing it.

The young Uruguayan photographer and filmmaker, Juani Gayol, dedicated his time during the magical quarterfinals to take the following snapshots and achieved magic:

The Japanese completed this aerial and had an incredible performance but was surpassed by Griffin Colapinto.
This photo could easily be mistaken for a free surfing session from the eighties, in a magical place in the middle of nowhere. The surfer is having fun and his friends are watching... But it's Filipe Toledo on the wave where he came out of the water.
Callum Robson's curves deserve to be photographed, with a cell phone, with whatever.
Ewing is synonymous with class and good, fundamental surfing.
The exact moment when Jack Robinson broke his board, determining his elimination against Gabriel Medina (who took revenge for what happened in G-Land)
The exact moment when a grom went into the water to rescue Robinson's half board and was happy for the end of the trip.
Medina is a machine and Punta Roca yesterday afternoon was another machine. The combination of both things was magical.
Griffin had a bit of a hormonal Trestles of his own yesterday afternoon.
Plasticity.
Griffin and the encounter with the final section.
Italo just wants to win.
Talking about Ethan Ewing's surfing fundamentals.
