Argentina's first artificial wave will be in Luján
The city of faith will be the first in that country to see ocean-quality waves inland
The city of Luján in the province of Buenos Aires, located 68 kilometers west of the Argentine capital, will be the site of the first artificial wave in the country's history, as La Ola Group has just reported on its Instagram.
A video showing people carrying sand in front of the famous Basilica of Our Lady of Luján and a news reporter not understanding what was happening was used as an advertisement.
The caption reads: “The dream is coming true. Luján is going to be your new favorite spot! The first artificial wave pool for surfing in Argentina is coming!”
Incredibly, known as the city of faith, it will be the first to see ocean-quality waves inland in Argentina.
The Ola Group is the developer of the technology. Last Friday they announced that they would make the official announcement about the location today.
Previously, they showed images of the signing of the contract.
La Ola Group is an Argentine company that will use “water injection driven by the expansion of pressurized air” to create waves.
