Argentina leads the world surfing championship in El Salvador
Along with three other nations, it remains with all its competitors alive; Peru is fifth, Spain seventh, Mexico eighth and Chile tenth.
Special coverage presented by Surf City El Salvador
Argentina's team is one of four that, after the fourth day of competition at the Surf City ISA World Surfing Games, still has all of its members still in the event, statistics shared by the ISA show.
The other three nations that remain undefeated in the tournament are: Japan, Portugal and France.
Peru, Spain, and Mexico are in similar situations, with five surfers alive and one out. The Incas suffered the defeat of the legendary Sofia Mulanovich in round 3 and it is because of this (that she advanced further than the rest) that they are in a better situation than the rest.
Chile remains in the ranking, with four of the six athletes still alive. Panama and Nicaragua have three, Costa Rica and Uruguay have two, and Ecuador, Venezuela and El Salvador have one.
Colombia, Guatemala and the Dominican Republic have already said goodbye to the event.
The Argentines have Lucía Indurain in the main event and the rest of the team in the repechage. Lele Usuna, Nacho Gundensen, Santi Muñiz, Ornella Pellizzari and Josefina Ané are all advanced to round 4 of the repechage.
