Argument in the water ends with a surfer stabbed and dead in Chile

An 18-year-old surfer died after arguing on Laraquete beach with another 17-year-old surfer, who allegedly stabbed him yesterday until he bled to death, several Chilean media reported.

Reports indicate that the subject with the initials GANO repeatedly beat the man who later died with the initials SIGS

"Carabineros from Laraquete, at approximately 18:30 p.m., went to the beach area to verify that someone had been injured with a knife. When they arrived at the scene, the victim, an 18-year-old man, was unconscious and had various injuries to his lower extremities caused by a knife. He was taken to the hospital in a life-threatening situation due to bleeding, where he died minutes later," detailed Captain Sebastián Jara, of the First Police Station in Arauco, according to several Chilean media outlets.

The police went to the house of the man who was identified by witnesses as the perpetrator but they did not find him. Later, an uncle handed the minor over to the local police station.

No further details were provided about the reasons for the argument or how they ended up confronting each other.
