Aritz Aranburu and Miguel Tudela made it to round 5 in Noronha
At least 1050 more ranking points and a place in the top 25 once the Brazilian stage is over were guaranteed.
The Basque Aritz Aranburu and the Peruvian Miguel Tudela took another step in the QS 6000 that is being held in the Cacimba do Padre of Fernando de Noronha and got into round 5, already guaranteeing at least 1050 points and 1800 dollars.
With this result, both of them guaranteed that when they leave this event they will be safely in the top 25 of the world ranking (Tudela has 1180 points for seventh place in the Volcom Pipe Pro and Aritz has 900 points for ninth in the same event).
Tudela was effective in finding a good tube and coming out with a strong maneuver to get through first, leaving behind Charles Martin, Vasco Ribeiro and Michael Dunphy in that order.
Now they will face Hiroto Ohhara and Italo Ferreira in the first series tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Aranburu knew how to find good lefts and attack strongly to move into first place. He left behind Italo Ferreira, Tiago C Amarao and Evan Geiselman.
Tomorrow, the Zarautz native will face Jake Marshall and Charles Martin.
Yesterday, Lucca Mesinas and Tomás Tudela said goodbye in a series in which the judges were very generous with Kiron Jabour.
Yago Dora, Jadson André and Cam Richards were the highlights of the day, all scoring more than 16 points out of a possible 20.
The event continues tomorrow from the fifth series of round 4.
