Aritz made it to the final again in the Perfect Chapter

The Basque finished fourth and took home the prize for the highest total of the championship; local Nic Von Rupp won the event for the third time

Basque Aritz Aranburu came fourth in the ninth edition of the prestigious Portuguese tubing championship, Capitulo Perfeito, which was held yesterday in Carcavelos.

Aranburu reached the final alongside local Nic Von Rupp, both tied with two titles won at the event and looking to break the record of winning their third.

Von Rupp was more active in the 35-minute final and managed to win. In second place was another local, Pedro Booman, and in third place was the Caribbean William Alliotti.

In addition to the check for placing fourth, Aranburu took home the award for the best sum of the event, for his round 1 series in which he scored 14,5 with a 9,5 included.

The award for worst blow and also for attitude, dedicated to Ricardo dos Santos, was won by the Brazilian Bruno Santos.

The best wave of the event was surfed by Nic Von Rupp in round 3, with a 10-point barrel.

The youth event was won by Matías Canhoto.
