Boardriders has sold the Billabong house on the North Shore

Executives reported that it was sold to a friend of the brand and that in any case, in the winters, it will continue to be used by the team of athletes.

The iconic Billabong house on Oahu's North Shore was sold this week, surf business website Shop Eat Surf reported.

According to Mark Weber, the brand's global manager, the sale was made to a friend of the brand and will therefore continue to be used by members of the team.

"While we are no longer in the business of owning and managing property on the North Shore, we are very pleased that a close friend of the brand has taken over the home and partnered with us to ensure it will remain the home of the brand and the Billabong Pro Pipeline for many years to come," he explained.

According to the aforementioned website, Boardriders, the parent brand of Billabong, Quiksilver, RVCA and Von Zipper, among others, is in the process of being sold and in addition to the sale of the house in Hawaii, properties belonging to the brand in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, France, Torquay, Australia and Billabong's corporate offices on Australia's Gold Coast were also sold.

Another piece of news that has come to light in recent days related to this group of brands is that the Italian star Leo Fioravanti is no longer sponsored by Quiksilver, in the midst of his recent CT qualification boom.
