Bodyboarding competition at Pan American Surfing Championships will be held in Explosivos

For the competition of the discipline the test will be moved a few meters to a more favorable wave

Bodyboarding, which will return to the Pan American Surfing Championship after several years, will be carried out on the wave suitable for the discipline called Explosives, located in what would be the Punta Rocas beach break, PASA president Karín Sierralta informed DUKE.

Yesterday, the communication was sent to the member federations of the international organization that the Pan American Games will be held in Punta Rocas between October 2 and 13, with the great news that bodyboarding returns as a discipline for national teams.

Several years have passed since the discipline was withdrawn from competition. Now, of the 22 members of the team, four will be bodyboarders, two men and two women.

Since Punta Roca is not so conducive to bodyboarding, as it is less tubular, this change was considered for the reinstated discipline.
