Brazilian dies while surfing in Puerto Escondido
Rafael Piccoli was found dead on the beach next to Zicatela
Brazilian bodyboarder Rafael Piccoli died today at Zicatela beach in Puerto Escondido. It is not clear what caused his death. He was seen surfing a wave and was later found dead on the adjacent beach, known as the main bay.
After being found floating, he was transferred by lifeguard personnel dragged by a boat.
In a video posted on Facebook, rescuers say that he hit a rock and that was what took his life.
