100% of the members of the round of 16 of the QS 3000 at Praia Mole are Brazilian and the long list of Latin Americans who had a chance of getting into the qualifying zone for the challengers, or who were already there, saw their dreams dashed at the hands of the Brazilian specialists in small waves.

Only Guillermo Satt, who started the event in fifth position, has a chance of staying in the top 7, but it depends on many results.

First of all, by advancing, Ryan Kainalo has already sent him to sixth place in the partial ranking. Since seven qualify, in order for him to be demoted from the qualification zone, the scenarios are the following, reported the WSL Latin America press office:

-If Gabriel Klaussner is placed ninth or better, he surpasses him
-Leo Casal if he is placed fifth or better he surpasses him
- Krystian Kymerson and Douglas Silva will surpass him if they make it to the grand final
- Caio Costa and Igor Moraes will surpass him if they win the championship.
-Weslley surpasses him if he loses by placing third in the round of 16 series he's already in.

If two of these scenarios occur, the Chilean team will be out of the qualification zone.

Miguel Tudela is already guaranteed and is already a South American champion in advance.

At the women's level, in the first series of the day, Daniella Rosas made the headlines by being eliminated by Julia Duarte and Kemily Sampaio, opening the door for Sol Aguirre, Dominic Barona and Bela Nalu to surpass her.

According to Joao Carvalho from the WSL Latin America Press Office:
-Barona has to reach the final and win the South American championship
-Sol Aguirre has to reach the final too
-Isabelle Nalu has to win the championship

If this does not happen, Rosas will equal Analí Gómez with the record of three-time professional South American champion.
