The 2026 Brazilian professional tour alone will distribute two million reais, or $370.000, according to the press office of the Brazilian Surfing Confederation in a statement, stating that the 2026 activity plan is already guaranteed.

Each stage will have $500.000 in prizes, and there will be at least four in which the grand prize will be more than $9.000.

A maximum of 228 participants will be able to participate: 168 in the men's category and 60 in the women's category.

Confederation President Teco Padaratz said: "CBSurf's motto is 'From Surfer to Surfer,' and this is the essence of all our efforts. We always strive to offer the best to our affiliated athletes. We are revamping our flagship competition, which will be renamed the Brazilian Surfing Championship, and we already have a valuable prize pool of R$2 million guaranteed. We continue to manage the most lucrative national circuit in the world, and we could have even more exciting developments in addition to the four stages already scheduled on the calendar. The goal is to guarantee a minimum number of confirmed events so that surfers can better plan their travels and careers throughout the year."

The Brazilian championship will now combine the Dream Tour and the Taça Brasil (a sort of A and B), held in recent years, and will retain the top 22 men's and top 11 women's seeded teams.

Looking ahead to a super event
The statement reads: “CBSurf is also looking to include two additional prize and scoring levels at the 2026 Brazilian Surfing Championship. In addition to the four R$500.000 stages awarding 10.000 points, the Board of Directors aims to organize a "Million Reais" super-event, in which victory awards 20.000 points, and other stages of R$300.000 and 7.000 points. Initially, the Brazilian ranking will calculate points based on the top three results for each athlete.”
