The police officers arrived on a jet ski and proceeded to arrest him in the lineup.
Brazilian police carried out an arrest in the middle of a line-up at Olho da Agua beach, San Luis, Maranhao.
According to Hora 1 Globo, which shared images (see below), the uniformed officers arrived at the location on a jet ski and, in the middle of the session, arrested Credilson Costa Barros, 50, who faces charges for drug trafficking.
“Credilson has faced drug trafficking charges since 2023 and had an outstanding arrest warrant since last year. He came out of the sea in handcuffs,” the aforementioned media outlet reported.
The surfer was pulled from the water by the sand, handcuffed, and will now proceed to trial.
