Hennessy Brisa failed to make the mid-year cut in Margaret River

She lost her round of 16 series to Caroline Marks; the CT is once again left without Hispanic Americans

Costa Rican Brisa Hennessy said goodbye to CT 2023 after losing her round of 16 series to American Caroline Marks.

Hennessy had her luck against her when she turned the series in her favour with three minutes remaining after completing a powerful move inside Margaret River, but a few seconds later Marks, who has been one of her biggest rivals, turned the tables again.

Hennessy, who was part of the WSL tour finalists last year, will have to return to the Challenger Series to return to the A level of world surfing, the CT.

Brisa's participation in this year's CT has been guaranteed in Paris 2024, which will take place on a wave that favors her: Teahupoo. Since her backside surfing is her specialty.
