Costa Rican Brisa Hennessy turned around her losing streak in Portugal and advanced to the round of 16 of the Surf City El Salvador Pro after a strong performance in the challenging afternoon conditions at Punta Roca.

Hennessy remained active and consistent at Punta Roca, seeking out opportunities and capitalizing. She started well with a 5,5 and was slow to build on her performance, but she did so with relative solidity, earning a 3,6.

She left Luana Silva in third place and was behind Tyler Wright.

Now he awaits his opponent when the elimination round takes place.

For her part, Basque surfer Nadia Erostarbe surfed the best wave of her heat, a 6 resulting from several backside attacks, but fell short by 0,09 and then, looking for just over three points for 10 minutes, she couldn't find the wave and fell into the repechage.

She was defeated by Bella Kenworthy and Molly Picklum.

They will now face Kirra Pinkerton and Sawyer Lindblad in the elimination round.
