Costa Rican Brisa Hennessy was unable to beat Molly Picklum in her quarterfinal match and bowed out of the event in fifth place, her second of the year, marking her worst start to a season in recent years.

Hennessy will travel to the three Australian stages outside the qualifying zone, in 12th position, two places away from the top 10 that qualifies for the second half of the year and the 2026 CT.

In her series, the Costa Rican lost by 12,34 to 10,26, adding a 5,33 and a 4,93 in the two best of the four waves she surfed.

Hennessy has the Bells stage ahead of him, then the Gold Coast stage and finally the Margaret River stage.
