Brisa started with a victory in Margaret River
She defeated Conlogue and Sakura and moved on to round 3 where she will compete in series 1 against the 14th seed.

Costa Rican Brisa Hennessy began her Margaret River Pro campaign with a victory over American Courtney Conlogue and Hawaiian Bettylou Sakura Johnson.
Hennessy was once again clever in her wave selection and talented in completing them. She posted a 4,83 to complete the heat which she then backed up with a 4,13 to make 8,96 which was followed by a 4,87 and a 3,83 from Conlogue and a 5,2 (2,83+2,37) from Sakura.
The series was contested in strong offshore winds, which made it difficult to read the waves and perform manoeuvres.
Conditions improved throughout the day but not enough to do everything that had been planned for the ladies which was to complete round 3. The event was cut short after the completion of the last series of round 1.
The best performance of round 1 came at the end of the day; it was Malia Manuel who added 13,5 (6,77,6,83) to beat Isabella Nichols and Tatiana Weston Webb.
Tyler Wright also stood out, scoring 13,4 in the second series of the day.
