Brisa achieved her third semifinal in four CT 2024 events

She will compete against the leader of the ranking, Johanne Defay; she is going for a place in the top 5

Costa Rican Brisa Hennessy won her quarter-final series against young Californian Sawyer Lindblad and is now fighting for a place in the top 5 of the world rankings.

She will face the current leader of the rankings, Frenchwoman Johanne Defay, in a semi-final series.

In the quarterfinals, once again making use of his powerful frontside surfing on pointbreak forehands, he defeated Lindblad 15.83 to 11,74.

The other semi-final features Caroline Marks and Caitlin Simmers.

The highest score in the quarter-finals played today was achieved by the Costa Rican herself.

“This event is a dream for me, it means the world. I am in the semis and we are going all out,” the Costa Rican told the WSL.

Hennessy thus achieved three semi-finals in four events, Pipe, Sunset and Bells. In Portugal, she had to retire due to a perforated eardrum.

The event is expected to resume with the final day on Wednesday in Australia and Tuesday afternoon in Latin America.
