Costa Rican surfer Brisa Hennessy advanced in first place in her debut series of the sixth event of the CT 2022 and is now already in the quarterfinals waiting for her opponent.

Hennessy, who is the current leader of the rankings, beat Johanne Defay and Bronte Macaulay in a very competitive series that was decided by a difference of one point between first and third place:

To win her heat, the Costa Rican made good use of her experience gained living in Fiji, where lefts abound over coral reefs.

He first did a two-maneuver combo to get a 6,33 and then, towards the end of the series, needing a 5,35, he got a 7,5 after combining three strong maneuvers.

The waves have been epic at G-Land. The other three heat winners who are already in the quarterfinals were Carissa Moore, Stephanie Gilmore and Tatiana Weston-Webb.
