Costa Rican Brisa Hennessy continues her losing streak on the world tour, having once again lost her debut in the CT, this time in the Supertubos, Portugal, stage, which began today.

Hennessy narrowly lost to Vahine Fierro and Isabella Nichols, she scored 8,33, the Tahitian 9,67 and the Australian 9,5.

She has now been dropped into the elimination round where she will face Bella Kenworthy and local wildcard Yolanda Hopkins.

Brisa finished ninth in the Abu Dhabi CT and had placed fifth in the previous stage, at Pipe.

Costa Rica is just outside the line for reclassification or passing the midseason cut, in eleventh place.

The heats are expected to hit the water tomorrow, as the swell that started the tournament today is still declining.
