Brisa placed third in Bells and rose four places in the ranking
She is eighth, in a stronger position for reclassification and approaching the final five.
Costa Rican Brisa Hennessy lost to Luana Silva in the semifinals of the Bells Classic today but achieved her best result of the year on tour, climbing four places in the rankings and entering the qualifying zone.
With the result, Brisa moved from 12th to 8th in the rankings, leaving her three places short of the five that will determine the world title.
Brisa lost to Luana in a fairly solid Bells by a very narrow margin: 12,67 to 12,07.
The Brazilian then lost to Isabella Nichols in the grand final.
The event was won by Jack Robinson at the men's level who defeated Kanoa Igarashi.
