Costa Rican surfer Brisa Hennessy has made it straight to round 3 of the MEO Pro Portugal, stage 3 of the CT being held in Supertubos, Peniche, Portugal.
Hennessy came through the debut series in second place, behind Isabella Nichols but ahead of Bronte Macaulay.
Relying on his powerful backside he first added a 5,4 and then with a strong frontside he backed up with 5,07 to make 10,47. Nichols made 12,5 (5,83+6,67) and Macaulay 7,03 (3,33+3,7).
The Costa Rican will not compete again today, but will face the 15th seed in series 3 of round 3.
The WSL announced that the women's round 2 and four heats of the men's round 1 will take to the water today. In heat 3, Peruvian Lucca Mesinas will be promoted.
