Bruce Irons downplayed the incident he had with the California police on Thursday morning, saying it was “just a little slip-up” to a paparazzi from Hollywood outlet TMZ who found him waiting in line at the airport on his way to Hawaii.

“Nothing I can’t overcome, nothing my legal team can’t handle,” Irons explained, adding: “It was just a couple of unfortunate events in a row, there will be clarifications; what you write is one thing (…) But once my lawyers and my team find things… I’m innocent until proven guilty, right?”

Referring to the specific charge of driving under the influence of drugs, he explained: “The police officers were also uncooperative. I mean I took the sobriety test and I did fine. I’m fine, I’m fine, I’m fine, it’s just that driving without a license is not a good idea, but I’m in the process… My license is expired and it was just a short period between getting the new one and stuff. It expired in Hawaii on November 16th and I was going to renew it again,” he concluded.

According to the Newport Beach Police Department, Irons was driving under the influence of drugs on Thursday morning, in addition to having controlled medications without a prescription and an issue with his driver's license.

He had to pay $2500 bail.
