In the first series of the day, Perez was unable to beat Ethan Ewing. The Australian remained active at the beginning of the series and the Pink Panther kept the priority for a long time.

When he took the waves, Bryan fell on more than one occasion until he finally managed to surf a complete that gave him 4,33, leaving him 7,67 away from advancing. With the sea very slow, Bryan made several attempts, looking for aerials but he was unable to complete them.

The final score was 12 (6,5 and 5,5) for Ewing and 8,26 (4,33+3,93) for Perez.

After getting out of the water, he told DUKE that he appreciated the experience he had had with the best in the world and that although he did not achieve his goal, he will keep everything he gained.

For his part, Carlos Muñoz surfed very few waves, he started with 2,50, then did 3,83 and, with Griffin adding just over 10,5, he had his chance on a good right that he filled with maneuvers that gave him a 5,07 and left him 5,5 away from victory.

But a good one came in for Colapinto and he scored 8 points, leaving the Costa Rican with a minute needing more than 8 points and no waves coming.

The final score of the series: 13,84 (5,67+8,17) for Griffin and 8,9 (3,83+5,07) for Cali.

With this series, the event was left without any Hispanic Americans in the competition.
