Bryan Pérez bets on his fans to support the world tour
The Salvadoran is asking for 35.000 on GoFundMe to pay the costs of his and his coach's circuit
Prominent Salvadoran professional surfer Bryan Pérez has bet on his fans and followers to support this year's world tour and has created a GoFundMe campaign seeking to raise $35.000.
“My dream is to reach the top of the surfing industry and put El Salvador on the map. The only way to do that is by competing in the QS to earn points and qualify for the CT,” Bryan writes in his description.
She added: “But first I have to find a way to cover registration fees, travel funds, lodging, meals and transportation for my coach and me.”
Like Peruvians Tomás Tudela and Juninho Urcia, who have main sponsors, Pérez, who is sponsored by Billabong, also relied on this type of campaign to be able to travel and compete.
He is the best surfer from El Salvador since Policía Alvarenga and Jimmy Rotherham dominated the scene in that country in the first decade of the 2000s.
