The Rio de Janeiro CT generated $32 million in turnover during its 10-day holding period, marking a 12% increase compared to its 2024 edition and a 142% increase compared to its 2022 edition, Globo newspaper reported based on research by the consulting firm EY (formerly Ernst & Young).

The event, which attracted approximately 410.000 people, according to the report, generated nearly half of that amount, some $92 million, spent on hotels and lodging in the area.

In addition, they point out that 2665 jobs were created as a result.

The report indicates that the Sun, Sound, and Soul festival was responsible for the strong impact, in addition to the Brazilian Navy's exhibition. They point out that activities continued even when there were no competitions, such as the broadcast of the Club World Cup match between Palmeiras and Botafogo.

WSL Latin America CEO Iván Martinho said: "The 2025 edition consolidates Vivo Rio Pro as the largest event in the state of Rio outside of the capital, and one of the most important on the national sports calendar. We broke records in viewership, social reach, and social and economic impact."
