Caio Ibelli fractured his foot and withdrew from the Margaret River Pro
He will be replaced by the winner of a surf off between Jack Robinson and Jerome Forest
The Margaret River Pro has been the event of absences, Slater, Conlogue and Jeremy Flores were joined by Caio Ibelli, who fell while trying to complete this aerial (see video) and fractured his foot.
"Unfortunately I had to abandon the event here in Margaret," Ibelli wrote on Instagram. "I broke my right foot on this wave during training. God knows everything. I thank everyone in advance for the strength."

Ibelli, who started the season very poorly and sits at 31st in the rankings, had already missed the Fiji Pro last year after injuring the ligament in the same ankle, the right one, on a free surfing trip to El Salvador.
It is not known whether the tournament will start today or not, what is clear is that the first heat will see local superstar Jack Robbinson take on his neighbor Jerome Forest, looking for a spot in the main event. They both had placed third at the trials.
It remains to be seen how the series will end up, whether there will be a reseeding or whether the Australians will be placed against Miguel Pupo and Owen Wright (series 3, in which Ibelli appeared).
