Caitlin Simmers wants to go to university to study botany

She doesn't plan on quitting the tour, but she wants to keep busy when she's not in the water.

World number one Caitlin Simmers says she will look into college options after the finals, she told Surfer magazine in its new print edition.

He said that finishing high school was a relief but on the other hand he felt like he had nothing to do, so he will look into doing some in-person classes at university.

Asked what, she said, “I want to learn about plants or something to do with nature and biology. I would like to take in-person classes, so I’m going to see if I can do that at the end of the CT season. I feel like it’s pretty hard to learn about plants online because you want to see the plants and do experiments and stuff. I’ll start researching about it soon. I’ve been doing a lot and haven’t had time.”

The 17-year-old is two days away from claiming her first world title, if all goes well in the final of the Sept. 6-14 finals, which are likely to take place Sept. 6, Surfline reported.
