Campaign launched to raise funds for Argentine shark attack victim
They will be used to pay medical expenses and help him find solutions to reduce the large number of attacks in the area.
Friends of Argentine surfer Alejandro Travaglini, victim of Monday's shark attack, have set up a crowdfunding page to cover medical and family expenses while the surfer recovers without being able to work.
“Alex will face an indefinite period of time off work and wants to use it to work with shark researchers to create deterrent devices. He also hopes to work with experts in the field to study shark behavior and find a solution to the increase in shark attacks,” says the description, which already has $9000 of the $15.000 required.

In addition, several witnesses have reported that the Argentinean fought back by shouting and hitting the shark to free himself from the attack and be able to reunite with his two children and his wife.
