The Hawaiian reflected on her return: “The simple fact of showing up and giving my best, being able to come back from surfing and see the smile on my daughter’s face, will be a success.”
Five-time world champion Carissa Moore reflected on what it will be like to return to the circuit now as a mother: “I know it won’t look the same as before, but that excites me. I’m ready to face the challenges, the chaos, and the mess. Haha!” she began in an Instagram post.
He added: “My definition of victory is different. Regardless of the outcome, simply showing up and giving it my all, being able to come back from surfing and see the smile on my daughter’s face, will be a resounding success.”
“This season will be a gift and a celebration. I look forward to experiencing the 2026 WSL championship through my daughter’s eyes. To my family, friends, and fans, thank you for being by my side and for your support at every stage,” he concluded.
Moore announced her return this week with a WSL wildcard. The Hawaiian had lost two finals, had a child, and retired from the tour without being clear about whether she would ever return.
