Carissa Moore will return to the tour in 2026
"I want my career to show my daughter, and hopefully other women, that we can achieve anything," the Hawaiian declared.
Five-time world champion and sports icon Carissa Moore has confirmed her return to competition on the WSL world tour in 2026, the WSL announced, adding that she will receive a wildcard entry.
“I’m so excited for the opportunity to compete again on the Championship Tour. Getting back on the board after having my baby is a huge victory. Competing at the highest level of surfing is something I value immensely, and I’m so grateful to feel healthy and energized. I want my journey to show my daughter, and hopefully other women, that we can achieve anything; that we can keep chasing our dreams, even when life changes. I can’t wait to share this new chapter with her and experience it together as a family,” Moore said.
Moore said goodbye to the world tour in 2023 when she lost in the finals against Caroline Marks.
In 2024 she did some events, competed in the Olympic Games, and had a child.
He took a break in 2025 and has now announced his return.
“The new Championship Tour will see Moore begin his 2026 season at Bells Beach, starting on April 1, 2026, and finish it on Oʻahu’s North Shore at the world-famous Pipe Masters in December 2026,” the WSL statement concludes.
