Carissa Moore just won the Billabong Pro Pipeline, having made it to two finals and finishing second in both.
The third time was the charm for the Hawaiian, against Tyler Wright she put the best wave of the final scoring a 7 but she had a hard time backing it up needing only a 3.
He got the score he was missing with a good attack on the lip on an intermediate wave.
The final score was 11 (7,17+3,83) to 10 (5+5).
Moore leads the rankings, with Wright in second and Bettylou Sakura Johnson and Lakey Peterson tied for third.
The world tour now continues in Sunset Beach, where the second leg of the circuit begins on February 12.
